Buckwheat flour is made from stone ground buckwheat seeds. This results in spotted pastel coloured flour that is ideal for baking muffins, cookies and breads and cooking special pastas, pancakes and noodles. Buckwheat flour, despite its name, is not actually a wheat product and so many people with gluten intolerances can replace wheat flours with this. This flour is naturally higher in protein and fibre than regular white flour as well as many essential vitamins and minerals.
