My name is Clodagh O Connor and I’m the founder of G&G Kombucha. The foundation of my business is to educate people on the importance of consuming a healthy, balanced diet and to maintain well balanced lifestyle. My products are naturally sourced and ensure you remain hydrated and promote a healthy gut microbiome.
What Inspired You To Join The Natural Health Sector?
I’ve always had a passion for health, fitness and nutrition. Natural foods and supplements have always been a part of my life. I have a passion for sport, health & wellness leading me to develop products to support hydration, gut health and overall wellbeing.
Where Did You Get The Idea For Your Brand?
When starting my business, I wanted to be connected to my roots. G&G stands for Green & Gold as I born and raised in Kerry. Greens and blues are used throughout my branding to represent what you see on the ring of Kerry.
What Makes Your Brand Unique?
Both supplements are new to the Irish market. It’s the first time kombucha is in powdered for in Ireland.
As for G&G Hydrate it is not just an electrolyte drink, it also has amino acids, magnesium, zinc, Vitamin B6, B12 and C.

How Do You Support Your Community?
Working with and sponsoring sports teams has helped me support various communities around Ireland. I’ve worked with Football, GAA, athletics, swimming teams, yoga retreats, long distance running, swimming and other sports. Of course I work with small local businesses for printing, deliveries and other running’s of the business.
What Has Been The Most Rewarding Part Of Your Brands Journey?
Hearing how my products have helped many customers. Receiving messages from customers with elderly parents, younger children or customers themselves who were suffering from gut issues or were dehydrated and how it helped them is very rewarding. Educating people on the importance of hydration and gut health, and them understanding that a headache may be down to dehydration is what I love about the journey. Getting to the root cause of an issue rather than taking painkillers is something I strive to achieve.

Seeing how Irish people support each other and support local is amazing to see.

What Do You Hope To Accomplish In The Future?
Honestly, I am so grateful for what I have accomplished so far. Supplying nationally around Ireland and hopefully helping these customers is very rewarding for me. I may venture to the UK next, who knows!
