Focus Ireland works with people who are homeless or at risk of losing their homes across Ireland.
Driven by the fundamental belief that homelessness is wrong, because it is a failure of society Focus Ireland are committed to challenging everything about homelessness: the causes, systemic failures, people’s perceptions and how it is tackled.
There is currently a record total of 13,531 people who are homeless in Ireland, including 1,940 families and 4,027 children, according to the most recent Department of Housing figures. In the last year, 1,640 families became homeless.
That’s over 31 families per week or more than 4 families per day. The total number of people experiencing homelessness in Ireland is 15% higher than the same time last year.
