What is Evening Primrose Oil?

The Evening Primrose plant is a distinctive flowering plant with yellow petals. Oil is made from its mature seeds which contain Gamma-Linolenic acid or GLA, a type of Omega 6 fatty acid. It may be beneficial for women suffering from Premenstrual Tension (PMS / PMT) as well as for treating the symptoms of a swollen abdomen, breast discomfort and hormonal imbalance.
