We're so much more conscious of the ingredients we use on or body as well as the effect they have on our environment. Which is why so many more people are opting to go green and purchase natural and organic beauty products.
Just like the foods you put into your body, the products you use to care for your skin can make their way into your bloodstream. At Evergreen we believe in beauty that is clean, safe and non-toxic. We stock brands that create ethical, organic, vegan and zero waste beauty products that we can feel good about using. We've gathered some of our favourite natural and organic beauty products that are good for your skin AND good for the planet.
Organic Beauty at Evergreen
So why make the switch to organic beauty products? There are many benefits of going organic with your skincare including:
Certified organic ingredients in beauty products are derived from plants and other naturally occurring ingredients. More importantly, those organic ingredients are grown without the use of pesticides and herbicides or any synthetic fertilisers, so they don't leave a harmful footprint on the planet or your skin!
Often (as there are much less harmful chemicals) organic skincare products are less likely to cause allergic reactions, inflammations or irritations. If an allergic reaction does occur with the use of organic products, it would most likely be due to a natural ingredient (such a shea butter or avocado), which should be easier to identify.
Better for your skin
Using natural and organic beauty products ensures that you get the real nutritional benefits from its ingredients rather than chemical ingredients. Natural organic ingredients such as coconut oil, aloe vera, and shea butter, for example, are known to soothe, nourish, moisturise and promote smooth skin. Even though the results may be slower, organic skincare products are gentle on your skin and are certainly better long term!
Cruelty-free, organic and vegan skincare is a rapidly-growing movement in Ireland. At Evergreen.ie we only stock natural and organic beauty products and brands that guarantee no products are tested on animals and are certified Cruelty-Free. These include Lavera, Kinvara, Jason and Sukin.
