Omega-3 fatty acids are considered to be one of the essential fatty acids. Essential fatty acids are essential because the body does not synthesize them. Fatty acids must be present in the diet or they will not be present in the body. Failure to obtain the recommended amount of essential fatty acids can have serious health implications. The optimum ratio of the omega 3, 6 and 9 fatty acids are contained in each capsule.
