Higher Nature's Betaine HCl, in easy to swallow vegan capsules, activates in the stomach to help replenish stomach acid and promote more efficient digestion of protein as well as carbohydrate breakdown and fat absorption
As we age and when we are under stress, natural production of stomach acid commonly declines and can cause digestive problems including indigestion, gas and bloating. When stomach acid is low, Betaine HCl can provide additional acidity to maximise digestion. . Optimal levels of stomach acid are also necessary for the proper absorption of minerals such as calcium, magnesium and iron. Stomach acid also forms a vital part of your immune defence against microbes, yeasts, viruses and other harmful invaders. Low stomach acid can even cause symptoms commonly mistaken for over-production of stomach acid, such as acid reflux and heartburn, especially in older people.
Directions
1-3 capsules immediately before or during a meal.
