Kelp is essentially a variety of seaweed known as the long-frond brown algae. It serves as a rich source of vitamins and minerals that are reported to be very beneficial to brain tissues as well as being helpful for speeding up your metabolism and shedding excess weight. The Nature's Plus Kelp tablets are rich in Iodine which is a known player in regulating the body's metabolism. The tablets also contain alginates which have the ability to absorb onto the surfaces of cholestrol and radioactive surfaces thus preventing these from spreading and forming in the body. Kelp is also rich in iron, sodium, phosphorus, calcium, magnesium and potassium and provides an excellent source of vitamin A, B1, B2, C, D and E and amino acids.
