Saorò’s Andean Cacao is sourced from the high jungle of the Quillabamba valley close to Machu Picchu and the Sacred Valley. It's a beautiful blend of the revered Chuncho and Peruvian Criollo beans. The Cacao of this region is famed for its richness and complexity of flavours and aromas. Chuncho was the Cacao of the Incas and is still harvested in the region by their descendants, the Machiguenga tribe.

Saoró we are dedicated to supporting communities in a sustainable way. In Peru we do this by working with cooperatives that support Indigenous Cacao producers, like the Machiguenga.
