Cannellini beans which are also known as white kidney beans and fasolia beans are very popular beans for many dishes, particularly in Italian cuisine such as pastas, salads, casseroles and minestrone soup. They have a very distinct texture and flavour which works wonderfully with these dishes. They have a fluffy texture with a slightly nutty, yet mild flavour. These beans are an excellent source of protein and fibre as well as a number of essential vitamins and minerals.
