DIY Spirulina Face Mask for Glowing Skin

December 07, 2017

Spirulina has built up quite reputation as a superfood with a string of amazing benefits. But did you know it can also be used in your beauty regime? Yes, spirulina is as good for our skin as it is for our insides. This handy DIY spirulina face mask for glowing skin has just 2 ingredients - spirulina and honey - so can whipped up in under a minute. And the benefits? Bright, moisturised, gorgeous glowing skin awaits. Check out how to make this natural DIY spirulina face mask below as well as some of spirulina's many health benefits...

The Health Benefits of Spirulina

Spirulina, the superfood of all superfoods, is actually an algae powder high in protein and iron – not to mention 18 different amino acids! A true superfood indeed. The rich dark green colour comes from chlorophyll, which helps eliminate toxins from our body and boost our immune system at the same time. We’ve been recommending to take Spirulina internally for many years now but we’ve also come to realise the benefits of applying this superfood to our skin!

It can help improve skin tone and complexion and leave you with that sought after dewy glow. This nutrient-rich plant is often added to juices and smoothies, but the spirulina powder benefits go on and on, including several anti-aging and anti-inflammatory benefits for our skin.

This simple yet effective homemade mask will leave your skin feeling moisturised and bright. It can also help even out skin tone - such an easy way to get your skin party ready.
